SBTA & SELA is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor for its Brisbane team. This casual role involves delivering face-to-face training and assessment across Marketing and Leadership & Management programs to international students, with a small blended cohort across related business qualifications.

The position offers a two-day weekly teaching schedule in Brisbane CBD (Wednesday and Thursday) from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm, providing continuity and immediate engagement.

Formación

• TAE qualifications required for delivery of VET programs.
• Ability to implement training and assessment strategies in line with training packages.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engaging face-to-face training and facilitate practical learning activities.
• Assess students in accordance with relevant training package and organisational requirements.
• Support learners across a small mixed cohort and provide appropriate individual guidance.
• Monitor student progress, participation and assessment completion.
• Maintain accurate training, assessment and compliance documentation.
• Maintain trainer competency and vocational currency records.
• Work collaboratively with the academic and administration teams.
• Participate in professional development and maintain current industry knowledge.

You will deliver face-to-face training and assessment across a combination of Marketing and Leadership & Management programs.

Teaching Schedule

This provides a consistent two-day weekly teaching schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will:

• Deliver engaging face-to-face training and facilitate practical learning activities.
• Assess students in accordance with relevant training package and organisational requirements.
• Support learners across a small mixed cohort and provide appropriate individual guidance.
• Monitor student progress, participation and assessment completion.
• Maintain accurate training, assessment and compliance documentation.
• Maintain relevant trainer competency and vocational currency records.
• Work collaboratively with the academic and administration teams.
• Participate in professional development and maintain current industry knowledge.

Training resources, assessment tools and guidance are provided, and the academic team will support the successful trainer with organisational processes and required compliance documentation.

• Able to explain business concepts clearly and practically.
• Organised and comfortable maintaining required VET documentation.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent, and
• Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience appropriate to the areas being delivered.

Applicants should also demonstrate:

• Current industry skills and vocational competency.
• Current knowledge of vocational education and competency-based assessment.
• Ongoing professional development in both vocational and VET practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Appropriate Australian working rights.
