Job summary

The McGrath Foundation is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our business intelligence platforms. You will develop data and reporting pipelines and work with internal users to unlock data insights.

Bring four years of BI or data analytics experience, strong Power BI skills, and a solid understanding of data privacy and governance. Salesforce experience is a plus, with a hybrid work environment and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in data analytics, BI or a similar role.
• Tertiary qualifications in data science or related discipline.
• Strong Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview skills; data modelling and governance knowledge.
• Experience with data privacy, security and Salesforce environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of the organisation's BI platforms.
• Develop data and reporting pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Engage with internal users to identify data insight needs.
• Coordinate data engineering activities and build models for insights.
• Train and work with SMEs to resolve data management issues.
• Contribute to Data Governance Framework and data efficiency improvements.

More about the role: We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our business intelligence platforms.

Main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all appropriate steps are taken and maintained to safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of the organisation’s data
• Proactively engaging with internal users to discover data insight needs
• Coordinating data engineering activities and developing models to support the data insights platform
• Developing data and reporting pipelines to ingest data from different source systems
• Working with subject matter experts to train, identify and resolve problems and/or deficiencies with data management
• Streamlining existing processes for data efficiency improvements by contributing to the development and maintenance of the Data Governance Framework

What you bring to the role: You bring at least four years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar role, supported by tertiary qualifications in data science or a related discipline. You have strong technical expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview, with experience in data modelling, database development, automation and data pipeline design. You also have a solid understanding of data privacy, security and governance, and experience working within a Salesforce environment.
