Job summary

McGrath Foundation is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our BI platforms. You will safeguard data privacy, engage stakeholders to define insight needs, and coordinate data engineering to deliver robust data pipelines.

Applicants should have 4+ years in data analytics or BI, with strong Power BI, Fabric and Purview skills, plus Salesforce experience. Hybrid work and not-for-profit salary packaging are available.

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience in data analytics, BI or similar role with tertiary qualification.
• Strong Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview expertise with data modelling and pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data privacy, security and governance; Salesforce experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of the BI platforms.
• Safeguard privacy and confidentiality of organisational data.
• Engage internal users to identify data insight needs.
• Coordinate data engineering activities and develop models for insights.
• Develop data and reporting pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Train and work with SMEs to resolve data management deficiencies.
• Contribute to Data Governance Framework improvements.

More about the role:

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our business intelligence platforms.

Main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all appropriate steps are taken and maintained to safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of the organisation’s data.
• Proactively engaging with internal users to discover data insight needs.
• Coordinating data engineering activities and developing models to support the data insights platform.
• Developing data and reporting pipelines to ingest data from different source systems.
• Working with subject matter experts to train, identify and resolve problems and/or deficiencies with data management.
• Streamlining existing processes for data efficiency improvements by contributing to the development and maintenance of the Data Governance Framework.

What you bring to the role:

• You bring at least four years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar role, supported by tertiary qualifications in data science or a related discipline.
• You have strong technical expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview, with experience in data modelling, database development, automation and data pipeline design.
• You also have a solid understanding of data privacy, security and governance, and experience working within a Salesforce environment.
