Job summary

McGrath Foundation is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our BI platforms, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality across the organisation.

You will proactively engage with internal users to uncover data insight needs, coordinate data engineering activities, and develop models to support the data insights platform using Power BI, Salesforce, and Microsoft Fabric.

Qualifications

• Four+ years’ experience in data analytics, BI or a similar role.
• Tertiary qualifications in data science or a related discipline.
• Strong technical expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview.
• Experience in data modelling, database development, automation and data pipeline design.
• Experience working within a Salesforce environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of our business intelligence platforms.
• Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of the organisation's data.
• Engage with internal users to discover data insight needs.
• Coordinate data engineering activities and develop models to support the data insights platform.
• Develop data and reporting pipelines to ingest data from different source systems.
• Train and resolve problems with data management with SMEs.
• Contribute to the Data Governance Framework to improve data efficiency.

More about the role:

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to lead the design and management of our business intelligence platforms.

Main responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all appropriate steps are taken and maintained to safeguard the privacy and confidentialityof the organisation's data
• Proactively engaging with internal usersto discover data insight needs
• Coordinating data engineering activities and developing models to support the data insights platform
• Developing data and reporting pipelinesto ingest data from different source systems
• Working with subject matter expertsto train, identify and resolve problems and/or deficiencies with data management
• Streamlining existing processesfor data efficiency improvements by contributing to the development and maintenance of the Data Governance Framework

What you bring to the role:

You bring at least four years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a similar role, supported by tertiary qualifications in data science or a related discipline. You have strong technical expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Purview, with experience in data modelling, database development, automation and data pipeline design. You also have a solid understanding of data privacy, security and governance, and experience working within a Salesforce environment.
