Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across North Queensland's mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors. You will identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships and collaborate with internal teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

Based in North Queensland, you will manage quotations, tenders and proposals, negotiate agreements and travel regularly to meet clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in BD, technical sales or similar commercial role.
• Experience in heavy engineering, mining services, fabrication, or hydraulics.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation & contract management skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and results-driven.
• Technical credibility with ability to communicate engineering solutions.
• Current Australian driver's licence and working rights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional BD strategies across North Queensland.
• Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key mining and industrial customers.
• Prepare and manage quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate commercial agreements while maintaining margins.
• Maintain CRM records, sales pipelines and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Production teams.
• Travel regularly across regional Queensland to meet customers.

About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across North Queensland, focusing on the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors. This is a key commercial role responsible for identifying new opportunities, growing existing customer relationships and working closely with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver strong outcomes.

Key Responsibilitie s

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies across North Queensland.
• Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines and forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering and Production teams.
• Travel regularly throughout regional Queensland to meet customers and identify opportunities.
• Represent our client across the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Experience Required

• Proven experience in business development, technical sales or a similar commercial role.
• Experience within heavy engineering, mining services, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, lubrication or related industries.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach.
• Technically credible with the ability to understand and communicate engineering solutions.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence and unrestricted Australian working rights.
