Job summary

Planit Cutting Edge Solutions in NSW seeks a Business Development Manager with deep joinery knowledge to drive growth for Cabinet Vision and related solutions. You will engage cabinet makers and joinery manufacturers, translate workflow challenges into technology-led outcomes, and build lasting client relationships.

You will travel across Australia, run demonstrations, and collaborate with our technical consultants to deliver value from design through CNC production, ultimately improving

• Experience in the cabinet making or joinery industry.
• Strong understanding of design-to-manufacturing workflows.
• Experience with Cabinet Vision, CAD/CAM or CNC environments.
• Ability to travel across Australia.
• Strong relationship-building and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with cabinet makers and joinery manufacturers.
• Meet with business owners, designers and production managers.
• Understand current workflow and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct customer consultations, demonstrations and solution discussions.
• Manage opportunities from initial conversation through to implementation.
• Reconnect with dormant customers and identify upsell opportunities.
• Develop partnerships with CNC suppliers, hardware suppliers, designers.
• Grow existing relationships to expand contracts and services.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Cabinet Vision & Joinery Solutions to help cabinet makers and joinery manufacturers across NSW improve their businesses through technology, workflow optimisation and industry-leading solutions.

This is not a traditional software sales role.

This is a consultative industry role where your joinery knowledge builds trust and helps customers achieve better outcomes.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing relationships and revenue across your territory.

You will:

Develop New Business

• Identify and build relationships with cabinet makers, joinery manufacturers, shopfitters and related businesses

• Meet with business owners, designers and production managers

• Understand their current workflow and identify improvement opportunities

• Conduct customer consultations, demonstrations and solution discussions

• Manage opportunities from initial conversation through to implementation

Recover & Grow Existing Customers

• Reconnect with dormant and previous customers

• Understand changes in their business and manufacturing needs

• Identify opportunities for:

  • Cabinet Vision upgrades

  • Additional licences

  • Planit+

  • Training

  • CNC integration

  • Workflow improvements

Expand Customer Relationships

Work with existing customers to identify opportunities that improve their business outcomes.

Examples:

• More users

• Better automation

• Improved production processes

• New capabilities

• Additional services

Build Industry Partnerships

Develop relationships with:

• CNC machinery suppliers

• Hardware suppliers

• Builders

• Designers

• Industry contacts

Create referral opportunities and strengthen Planit’s position within the joinery industry.

About You

You may currently be working as:

• Senior Cabinet Vision Designer

• Joinery Draftsperson

• Production Manager

• Cabinet Maker with CNC experience

• CAD/CAM Specialist

You will have:

• Experience in the cabinet making or joinery industry

• Strong understanding of design-to-manufacturing workflows

• Experience with Cabinet Vision, CAD/CAM or CNC environments (highly regarded)

• Ability to communicate confidently with business owners and factory managers

• Strong relationship-building skills

• Commercial mindset and willingness to develop opportunities

• Ability to travel throughout Australia
