Job summary

Salexo Consulting is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Sydney market to drive growth in architectural coatings, renders and finishes. You will hunt opportunities with architects, designers, builders and developers, introducing advanced coating systems and ensuring correct product specifications.

You will cultivate relationships, manage opportunities from inquiry to sale, and collaborate with our technical team to support projects.

Qualifications

Business Development Manager - Architectural Coatings & Finishes

Are you a technical sales hunter who knows the architectural and building-products market?

I'm working with an established Australian manufacturer specialising in architectural renders, textured finishes and coating systems used across residential, commercial and architectural projects.

You don't necessarily need to come from coatings. If you sell a technical architectural or building product, know how to find new opportunities and enjoy winning new business, I'd be interested in speaking with you.

You'll be dealing with architects, designers, builders and developers, finding projects early and helping get the right products specified.

What you'll be doing:

Develop new relationships with architects, designers, builders, developers and contractors.

Identify projects and opportunities before they reach the point of purchase.

Introduce render, textured finish and coating systems to the right people.

Understand what a project needs and recommend the right product or system.

Follow opportunities from the initial conversation through to specification and sale.

Build your own pipeline while continuing to develop existing relationships.

Work closely with the internal technical team to support customers and projects.

Who we’re looking for:

I'm not too concerned about your exact job title or the product you're currently selling.

You could be working across:

Coatings, Renders, Waterproofing, Sealants, Adhesives or Interior Finishes

You enjoy finding new opportunities, getting through the door, building relationships and ultimately winning the project.

You'll also need to be technically minded and comfortable talking with architects, builders and contractors about how and why a product should be used.
