CSG Talent is recruiting a Business Development Manager for Animal Nutrition in Australia. The role focuses on growing a new silage business across Australia and New Zealand, working directly with customers and distributors.

My client is a global animal nutrition company with a strong international silage portfolio, now building this part of their business in Australia and NZ.

The role

• Grow a new silage business in Australia and NZ, working directly with customers
• Manage existing distributor partnerships across ruminant and monogastric products
• Own the territory's forecasting, pipeline and account planning
• Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings, with up to 4 international trips a year

Who we're looking for

The role is open to different levels of experience:

• Experienced commercial leaders with a network in silage, forage or animal nutrition (ruminant or monogastric)
• Early career scientists , such as a recent PhD in animal nutrition, looking to move into a commercial role

Across both:

• A degree in agriculture, animal science, veterinary science or a related field
• A professional, corporate approach and strong stakeholder skills
• Commercial drive and comfort with sales data and forecasting
• Distributor and CRM experience is an advantage
• Willingness to travel around 30% of the time
