Job summary

AVet Health Ltd in Victoria seeks a Business Development Manager to cover a 6-month parental leave starting this November. You will build relationships with veterinary clinics, manage a sales pipeline, and present our product value proposition.

As the company grows, this role is expected to become permanent in Victoria, with occasional travel and a hybrid work setup, supported by CRM tools to track activity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and account management skills, including relationship building, negotiation, and sales pipeline management.
• Experience in the veterinary, animal health, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector, or ability to quickly learn technical product information.
• Solid communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in meeting with clinic decision-makers and delivering product/value propositions.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills to interpret market data and develop growth plans.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and common business software.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory growth plans and identify opportunities within veterinary clinics.
• Build and manage relationships with clinic decision-makers and negotiate value propositions.
• Track and manage sales pipeline using CRM; report on progress and outcomes.
• Travel to veterinary clinics within the assigned region as needed.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support growth objectives.

Role Description We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager (Victoria) to join our team on a 6-month parental leave cover starting this November.

The exciting part? As our veterinary pharma company continues to grow, we fully anticipate this role transitioning into a permanent position in another territory within Victoria after the initial 6 months.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to veterinary clinics within the assigned region as needed.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, science, or a related field is highly regarded.
