Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a Business Development and Engagement Officer to join the Economic Development team, driving practical support and initiatives for local businesses. You will respond to enquiries, manage communications, and help plan events to strengthen the local economy.

This role sits within Council’s Economic Development team and works directly with local businesses to deliver practical support, events and initiatives that help strengthen the local economy.
A typical day could include responding to business enquiries, managing business communications and promotional channels, coordinating workshops and business events, working with business groups, and planning and delivering economic development initiatives across the municipality.
You will work closely with local businesses, business associations, Council teams and external stakeholders, with plenty of variety across the role. It is a practical, hands on position where you can see the impact of your work through stronger business engagement, well delivered initiatives and events, and better outcomes for local businesses and the broader economy.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO.
Remuneration begins at$94.1K to $102.3K (Band 6) plus superannuation.
