Job summary

Greenway Demolition Pty Ltd – Stapylton QLD is seeking a Building Associate to coordinate and supervise construction-site activities from demolition through to site preparation for redevelopment. You will supervise civil and concrete construction, read plans, monitor quality, and ensure WHS compliance on site.

This role requires a diploma or higher, at least 2 years in strip-out demolition, and relevant asbestos and safety qualifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma degree or higher required.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in strip-out demolition.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
• White Card.
• Asbestos Class B.
• Non-Friable Removal Ticket.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil and concrete construction activities on construction sites.
• Supervise concrete tilt panel preparation, casting, erection, bracing, and installation.
• Read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality control for concrete and structural works.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving project issues.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and compliance records.

Job Description

Greenway Demolition Pty Ltd is a South East Queensland demolition and site preparation contractor delivering residential and commercial demolition, structural strip-outs, asbestos removal, excavation, concrete works and site rehabilitation for builders, developers and government projects. The Building Associate is required to coordinate and supervise construction-site activities from demolition through to site preparation for redevelopment. The role of Building Associate Includes:

• Supervise daily civil and concrete construction activities on construction sites.
• Supervise concrete tilt panel preparation, casting, erection, bracing, and installation.
• Read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality control for concrete and structural works.
• Coordinate site operations and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Safe

Work Method Statements (SWMS).

• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring works are delivered within scope.
• Coordinate and oversee excavation, formwork, steel reinforcing, concrete placement, and finishing operations.
• Manage procurement of tools, equipment, consumables, and oversee vehicle/asset maintenance.
• Supervise strip-out staff, monitoring well-being, safety, and performance.
• Review and approve timesheets to ensure payroll accuracy and project schedule compliance.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving project issues.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and compliance records.
• Monitor productivity and ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained on site.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Diploma Degree or higher
• At least 2 years work experience in strip out demolition and

Non-Friable Asbestos Removal Class B

• Demonstrated experience in project administration or coordination, preferably in construction or demolition.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in project reporting and documentation systems.
