Job summary

Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra is seeking a Business Analyst to support the design, development and enhancement of digital solutions within the Whole of Government Systems Section.

You will engage with stakeholders to capture requirements, translate them into viable solutions, and document processes across the application lifecycle in a dynamic, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a business analyst.
• Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation.
• Experience with SDLC and Agile environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to translate requirements into viable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, capture and document business processes, requirements and business rules
• Analyse and translate business requirements into viable solutions
• Act as a conduit between business and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and communicated
• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, discussions and other requirements-gathering activities
• Develop and maintain documentation to support new and proposed functionality
• Prepare mock-ups, presentations and other supporting materials as required
• Support demonstrations and validation of new and enhanced functionality with stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team
• Undertake other duties as required.
