Job summary

XPT Software in Sydney, NSW, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to turn business needs into clear requirements and actionable tasks. You will work closely with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document user stories, use cases, and BRDs, ensuring alignment with project goals.

You will facilitate workshops, map processes, and collaborate with developers, testers, and UX/UI teams to deliver high‑quality solutions. 3–5 years of BA experience and strong communication are essential.

• Translate business needs into logical, structured, and actionable requirements.
  
• Work closely with developers, testers, and UX/UI teams to ensure accurate implementation.
  
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to uncover root causes.
  
• Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and data analysis as needed.
  
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test cases and validating deliverables.
  
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  

Required skills and qualifications :

• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  
• Strong logical thinking and analytical skills — able to approach problems methodically.
  
• Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex ideas simply.
  
• Experience in writing clear, structured documentation (e.g., user stories, use cases, BRDs).
  
• Comfortable with process mapping tools (e.g., Griffy, Visio).
  
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g., Appian, Pega, Power Platform).
  
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  
• Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools.
  
• Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA are a plus.
