Automic Group, Australia's market leader in technology-driven investor administration, seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join the Sydney team. You will own complex system changes end-to-end, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver build-ready requirements for a growing fintech platform.

In this role you’ll lead cross-functional analysis, run structured workshops, translate priorities into MVPs, support testing, and help lift analysis practices while ensuring

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise software with Agile delivery.
• Background in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering across full software development life cycles.
• Proven capability from requirements gathering to user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work independently and own delivery outcomes.
• Experience leading structured workshops with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Systems level thinker with cross-system impact awareness.
• Experience in financial services is highly desirable, esp. share/unit registry, fund admin, wealth infrastructure.

• Working closely with developers and UX designers to refine and clarify requirements through the delivery lifecycle.

• Identifying risks, dependencies, and impacts across systems.
• Continuously improving analysis practices and tools to enhance productivity, quality, and security.

About the Role

This role requires an experienced BA who can independently own complex system changes end-to-end and who can work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver build-ready requirements as our tech grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating in strict accordance with Automic’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards.
• Leading end-to-end business analysis activities across new features, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborating with senior management, IT, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements.
• Facilitating and driving requirements workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Working closely with developers and UX designers to refine and clarify requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Translating high-value business priorities into clearly defined Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
• Supporting testing and validation activities to ensure delivered solutions meet business intent.
• Identifying risks, dependencies, and impacts across systems and processes.
• Continuously improving analysis practices, documentation standards, and tools to enhance productivity, quality, and security.

About you

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise software environments, working within an Agile delivery framework.
• A background in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience delivering across full software development life cycles.
• Proven hands-on technical capability from functional requirements gathering to user stories & high-quality acceptance criteria & mapping multisystem impact analysis
• Able to work independently owning delivery outcomes, escalating risk when required
• Proven experience of leading structured workshops with key stakeholders able to manage up effectively to get the right outcomes
• A systems level thinker, understanding cross system impacts
• Experience within financial services is highly desirable, particularly within share/unit registry, managed funds, fund admin, wealth/ market infrastructure or investor lifecycle platforms
