West Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst for a Day Rate Contract in Parramatta. You will oversee a portfolio of technology initiatives spanning infrastructure, cyber security, data and enterprise systems, with hybrid work and immediate start.

With significant investment underway, the organisation is delivering a complex, multi-year technology transformation program spanning infrastructure, cyber security, data, enterprise systems and operational technology.

About Your New Role

As a seasoned, experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst you will support a complex portfolio of technology initiatives spanning infrastructure, cyber security, data and enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops and business analysis activities across multiple technology projects.
• Understand nuances across multiple projects, knows how to deal with difficult stakeholders and can be confident to communicate at all levels.
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Prepare documentation for senior GMs and board members
• Develop business cases, Statements of Work (SOWs), funding submissions and supporting business documentation.
• Partner with Solution Architects and external vendors to define project scope, specifications and deliverables.
• Proactively engage stakeholders and push back when needed to identify requirements, challenge assumptions and recommend solutions.
• Identify and manage dependencies across interconnected projects and programs.
• Prepare high-quality documentation and business papers for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Support technology initiatives from early discovery through to implementation and operational transition.

About You

You are a seasoned Business Analyst with broad technical experience and a proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You are proactive, commercially minded and confident. You can guide stakeholders who may not have clearly defined requirements.

Your Background

• Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex technology projects.
• Ability to cut through the ambiguity of complex problems to bring forward solutions and actionable steps to move the program forward.
• Relevant Industries: critical infrastructure, enterprise asset management, transport, healthcare, energy, utilities, construction, engineering or other regulated industries.
• Extensive government and financial services experience will not be relevant.
• Can confidently lead workshops and bring solutions to the table rather than questions.
• Broad technical exposure across infrastructure, cyber security, data or enterprise applications.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding, particularly around business cases, funding and vendor engagement.
• Experience developing business cases, SOWs, technical requirements and executive-level documentation.
• The ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous or less mature delivery environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, written communication and dependency management skills.
