Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman is seeking a Business Analyst in Sydney to drive business process improvements and analysis within the BTGL Program. You will elicit, analyze, and validate requirements, and guide changes to processes, policies and information systems to achieve strategic outcomes.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a tertiary qualification in Business or Finance, and proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of business process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis, system functional/non-functional analysis experience and business case preparation experience.
• Knowledge of recent developments in financial services regulatory change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the elicitation, analysis, communication and validation of requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems.
• Define and manage requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs.
• Provide and direct recommendations for process redesign and business solutions to enable changes that support the BTGL Program.
• Monitor and identify process inefficiencies and opportunities across the program and determine root causes with recommended solutions.
• Analyse external vendor reports, raise concerns with the Stream Lead and document issues and resolutions in the internal log.

Job Description

This BA will be responsible for the following:

• Leading the achievement of the Program’s strategy by working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
• Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs
• Providing and directing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information that support the BTGL Program to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value
• Be responsible for monitoring and identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities across the program and identifying root causes and recommend solutions
• Is expected to analyse external vendor reports, raise any concerns with the Stream Lead and document case issues and resolutions in an internal tracking log/register.

Knowledge/Qualifications/ Experience

• 3-5 years of business process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis, system functional / non-functional analysis experience and business case preparation experience.
• Knowledge of recent developments in financial services regulatory change
• Tertiary Qualification in Business or Finance related disciplines
• Experience in stakeholder engagement in a project and/or an operational team
• Working knowledge of Advice Remediation
• Experience in compiling and presenting reports on MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
• Experience in reconciling data and information across multiple sources
• Experience in one or more related disciplines – data anlaysis, project engagement, operational business environment, financial reporting
