Job summary

Smartgroup Corporation is seeking a Business Analyst to join a collaborative digital product squad. You’ll help solve customer and business challenges through discovery and evidence-based problem solving, partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, and stakeholders to translate insights into prioritized outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics or a related discipline is preferable.
• Relevant Business Analysis certifications.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer and business problems, desired outcomes and success measures.
• Lead discovery activities including data analysis, process mapping and journey mapping.
• Document, raise and discuss hypotheses to ensure a common understanding across your team around known requirements, assumptions and risks.
• Synthesize customer, business and data insights to identify needs, opportunities, constraints and root causes.
• Translate discovery outcomes into epics, user stories, business rules and well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and help teams decide priorities, dependencies, risks and trade-offs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and Engineering teams to support customer journeys, prototyping, usability testing and solution delivery.

About the role:

Key responsibilities:

Partner with Product, Design,Engineeringand stakeholders to understand customer and business problems, desiredoutcomesand success measures.

Lead discovery activities including data analysis, processmappingandjourney mapping.Support others intheir researchand assumption testing.

Skills and experience:

You'll bring:

Strong business analysis experience within Agile digital product environments.

Experiencethrough theend toendsoftware delivery lifecycle:product discovery,definition,deliveryandbenefits realisation.

Strong journey mapping, process mapping, storymappingand requirements analysis capabilities.

The ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative evidence to inform recommendations and decision-making.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills across business and technical teams.

Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence,Miroand Figma.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Business,Economicsor a related disciplineis preferable.

Relevant Business Analysis certifications.
