Job summary

William Buck is seeking an experienced Manager to join a fast-growing team on the Gold Coast. You will lead and mentor a portfolio of business advisory and tax clients, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and delivering strategic advice for growth.

You will work closely with Partners, manage a 4–6 person team, and drive development through regular feedback. The role offers flexible working options and a clear career path within a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant discipline required.
• CA/CPA qualification preferred for senior level.
• 5+ years experience in public practice is preferred for this role.
• Strong client relationship and leadership capabilities essential.
• Excellent communication skills and tax technical knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of high-value business advisory clients.
• Advise on tax strategies and growth opportunities; prepare financial reports; ensure compliance with Australian standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 junior to senior accountants.
• Review statutory compliance work, including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters.
• Provide regular feedback and support to team members; oversee budgets, cash flow and year-end tax planning.
