Job summary

William Buck is a leading accounting and advisory firm on the Gold Coast. We are seeking an experienced Manager who will work with the Partner to oversee a portfolio across business advisory, compliance and strategic tax services.

You will lead and mentor a team of 4-6 accountants, review statutory work, and coach staff while driving tax strategies and growth opportunities for clients in line with Australian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in a public practice firm preferred.
• Management and mentoring experience with strong leadership and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Partner to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of high-value business advisory clients.
• Advise clients on tax strategies and growth opportunities; prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 graduate, intermediate and senior accountants.
• Review statutory compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters.
• Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback and support.
• Review client budgets, cash flow and year-end tax planning requirements.
