William Buck is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Business Advisory team in Brisbane. In this role you will assist a range of clients across business advisory, compliance and strategic tax services, helping shape outcomes and deliver high-quality advice.

You will work closely with Partners, mentor junior staff, review statutory compliance, financial statements, and tax planning. The ideal candidate holds CA/CPA, a degree in accounting, and 6+ years in public practice with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant discipline is required.
• CA/CPA qualification is highly regarded.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a public practice firm.
• Demonstrated management and mentoring experience.
• Strong client relationship and leadership capabilities.
• Solid technical tax compliance knowledge and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Advising clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Work closely with Partners to directly manage the firm's client base.
• Collaborating with partners to provide tailored client solutions, mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
• Review statutory compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters.
• Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback and support.
• Review client budgets, cash flow and year-end tax planning requirements.
