Job summary

TLC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver – Wellbeing/Lifestyle Assistant for the Geelong region. You will transport residents safely to outings, support wellbeing activities, and work across Wallington, Armstrong Creek and Belmont on a full-time basis.

Role requires experience in aged care, Cert III in Ageing, Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, and a current full drivers licence. Vaccinations and checks are required as part of our commitment to resident safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aged Care or Healthcare sector.
• Cert III in Ageing; Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle.
• Full current Drivers Licence.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations.
• NDIS Check (includes Police Check).
• Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to external outings for residents.
• Ensure resident safety when boarding/exiting the bus.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning; minor troubleshooting.
• Deliver person-centred care and support daily living to enhance independence.
• Support design and delivery of wellbeing programs and activities.
• Review and evaluate wellbeing care plans and assessments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to meet residents' wellbeing needs.

We are excited to welcome a full-time, enthusiastic Bus Driver – Wellbeing/Lifestyle Assistant to our team, supporting our Geelong sites across Wallington, Armstrong Creek and Belmont.

About the Role

The Bus Driver – Wellbeing/Lifestyle Assistant plays a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and lifestyle experience of our residents. You will support the design and delivery of meaningful activities and provide safe and reliable transport for residents attending outings, events and appointments.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide safe transportation to external outings
• Manage and ensure resident safety when boarding and exiting the bus to and from outings
• Basic vehicle maintenance, cleaning and minor troubleshooting
• Provide the best person-centred care
• Support daily living that optimises our resident’s independence, health, wellbeing, cultural beliefs and quality of life
• Support design and delivery of wellbeing programs
• Review and evaluation of wellbeing care plans and assessments
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure residents wellbeing needs are met

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must have experience working in Aged Care or Healthcare sector
• Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing)
• Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
• Must hold a FULL current Drivers Licence
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
• NDIS Check (includes Police Check)
• Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
