Job summary

Bolton Clarke in Maryborough is seeking staff to support residents with outings, mobility aids, and safe, respectful transportation within a friendly aged care setting. You will assist residents, drive a 22-passenger bus, and help with mobility equipment while maintaining high service standards.

Shifts offer a caring team environment with focus on safety, proper documentation, and compliance. Prior driving and care experience are valued, with checks required prior to commencement.

Qualifications

• MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less.
• Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel).
• Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down systems (desirable).
• NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Police check completed or willingness to undergo.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing.
• Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus.
• Folding and unfolding mobility aids.
• Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to others' needs.
• Aiding residents with simple mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained).
• Share feedback with the Lifestyle Officer / Coordinator at the end of your shift.
• Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents.
• Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times.

The Role

Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing

To be successful:

MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less

Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)

Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)

Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down system, (desirable)

NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

Complete a police check
