Yorke and Northern Local Health Network’s Burra Hospital is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to lead the nursing team and support high‑quality patient care across a clinical service. You will contribute to effective healthcare delivery and team mentorship in a dynamic hospital environment.

The role involves clinical leadership, staff development, rostering and recruitment, and participation in financial planning under the Nurse Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Practising certificate required.
• Experience in nursing leadership or management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with our team.
• Assisting in practice changes under the Nurse Unit Manager's guidance.
• Providing leadership of nursing/midwives and supporting the Nurse Unit Manager.

Join Burra Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager where you'll contribute to high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team in effective healthcare delivery.

About the Role

Support clinical leadership and the delivery of high-quality nursing care, contribute to team coordination, mentor staff, and support day-to-day service delivery and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities:

• Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with our team
• Assisting in the implementation of practice changes under the guidance of our Nurse Unit Manager
• Providing leadership of nursing/midwives in the health service in support of the Nurse Unit Manager
• Undertaking management responsibilities such as performance management, recruitment, rostering, and financial planning.
