Job summary

FedEx Express seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead Bulk operations at the Redbank Depot in Queensland. You will drive operational excellence by managing day-to-day activities, guiding a team and ensuring service quality for domestic priority and international freight.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience in operations and logistics, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will develop staff, implement efficiency initiatives, and maintain effective reporting to meet depot

Qualifications

• 3 years relevant experience in an operations environment.
• Knowledge of optimisation processes.
• Knowledge of the business levers, processes, structures and finance.
• Good knowledge of Operations processes and related technology.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement.
• Can-do mentality and understands communications in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proven experience and knowledge in effective training, coaching and people management practices, including leadership development.
• Professional certification or equivalent level of experience.
• Three to five years people management experience, preferably gained from Operations role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and empower employees through effective communication and leadership to maximise customer and employee satisfaction.
• Analyse depot results and drive actions to meet service quality, loss and damage targets at optimum costs.
• Establish a customer-focused culture by implementing initiatives and tools to enhance satisfaction and retention.
• Utilise reporting tools to monitor resources, service performance and costs on daily/weekly/monthly cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practices implementations.
• Initiate optimisation programs to improve efficiency and reduce unit costs.
• Explore opportunities to improve service levels in a cost-efficient way.
• Ensure staff are trained and development plans are implemented.
