Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking an experienced Services Manager to join our Qld Construction team on the expansion of a major correctional facility in Wacol. You will lead the design and delivery of Building Services documentation across Mechanical, Electrical, Security & ICT and Hydraulic systems, in collaboration with the Project Manager to meet budget and programme requirements.

You will drive value through cost-saving initiatives, oversee progress and quality of installations, manage workshop

Qualifications

• Qualifications in a relevant Engineering or trade discipline (electrical engineering or trade preferred).
• Experience on large-scale projects, managing complex building services packages and integrated systems (mechanical, electrical, ICT/BMS, hydraulic).
• Sound understanding of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to build strong relationships with team members, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Design leadership of Building Services documentation across Mechanical, Electrical, Security & ICT and Hydraulic.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure documentation meets specification, cost budgets and construction programme.
• Identify cost savings and assist with product selection to achieve best value.
• Monitor production of workshop drawings and as-built documents.
• Oversee progress and quality of works, installation and commissioning.
• Support final handover with submission of documentation, approvals, warranties and training.
