Job summary

KBR, Inc in Brisbane and its Building Services team is seeking a Building Services Lead to head the QLD group. You will provide both technical and people leadership to a diverse team of engineers, designers and drafters, delivering complex multidisciplinary projects with safety and quality at the forefront.

Reporting to the Discipline Manager, you will plan work packages, manage budgets, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in consulting or projects.
• Delivery of multidisciplinary building services design.
• Strong project management and budgeting abilities.
• Experience with proposals and business development.
• Advanced capability in engineering calculations and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, designers and drafters.
• Provide technical leadership across complex building, transport, defence and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, coordinate and manage engineering work packages to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare, review and verify engineering designs, calculations, reports and specifications.
• Manage project and proposal budgets within your area.
• Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders including clients, regulatory authorities, suppliers and subconsultants.
• Support business development activities, proposals and client engagement initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and sharing best practice across projects and teams.
• Maintain compliance with KBR's Quality Management System and engineering governance processes.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, collaboration, innovation and high performance.
