Job summary

The Shire of Denmark is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Officer to join our Technical Services team. This hands-on role coordinates and undertake maintenance across the Shire's built assets, delivering safe, functional facilities for the community.

Reporting to the Manager Technical Services, you will manage maintenance tasks, coordinate contractors, and contribute to asset management while upholding high standards of customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with substantial industry experience.
• Experience in building maintenance and construction activities.
• Strong problem-solving and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of the Shire's buildings and assets.
• Coordinate and monitor contractors for maintenance, repairs and capital works.
• Perform carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, mechanical repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist with asset inspections and maintenance planning.
