Job summary

Marble Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Building Certifier or Building Surveyor to join a growing team servicing residential projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

You'll provide technical advice, conduct inspections, and manage certification from application to completion with strong support and resources to focus on the technical work.

Qualifications

• QBCC registration or eligibility with QBCC pathway in progress.
• Strong knowledge of NCC and Queensland building legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. <= max 140 chars per item

Responsibilities

• Assessing residential building applications against Queensland legislation and the NCC.
• Conducting building inspections across Brisbane and surrounding areas.
• Managing projects from initial application through to final certification.
• Preparing and issuing relevant building approvals and certificates.
• Providing technical building compliance advice to builders, designers and clients.
• Reviewing plans, documentation and building work for compliance.
• Liaising with builders, engineers, architects and other stakeholders.
• Identifying and resolving compliance issues throughout construction.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and records.
• Contributing to ongoing improvement of systems and processes.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Building Certifier or Building Surveyor to join a growing team servicing the residential construction market across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Building Certifier looking for their next move, or a Building Surveyor who is looking to progress into certification and build their career within the private certification space.

You'll work across a strong pipeline of residential projects, providing technical advice, completing inspections and managing projects through the certification process from application through to completion.

You'll also have the support, systems and resources around you to allow you to focus on the technical side of the role rather than being bogged down in administration.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assessing residential building applications against relevant Queensland legislation and the NCC
• Conducting building inspections across Brisbane and surrounding areas
• Managing projects from initial application through to final certification
• Preparing and issuing relevant building approvals and certificates
• Providing technical building compliance advice to builders, designers and clients

What We're Looking For

We're open to candidates at different stages of their certification career.

You could be:

• An experienced Building Certifier with current QBCC registration looking for a new opportunity
• A Building Surveyor with relevant qualifications and experience who is looking to transition into private certification
• A construction professional with strong technical/building knowledge who has the qualifications and eligibility to work towards Building Certifier registration

Ideally, you'll have:

• Relevant qualifications in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline
• Current QBCC Building Certifier registration or eligibility/pathway to obtain registration
• Strong understanding of the NCC and Queensland building legislation
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A current driver's licence
