Job summary

East Coast Building Consultants Pty Ltd. in Byron Bay is seeking a qualified Unrestricted Building Certifier to lead certification and inspections across Class 2-9 projects.

You will assess applications for Construction Certificates and Occupation Certificates, provide practical technical advice, maintain records, and contribute to process improvements while enjoying a flexible hybrid work arrangement and competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

• Current NSW registration as an Unrestricted Building Certifier.
• Demonstrated experience in building certification and inspections (Class 2-9).
• Strong knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Hold a current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking critical stage inspections and fulfilling Principal Certifier responsibilities.

About you

Demonstrated experience in building certification and inspections (in particular Class 2-9 projects)

Strong knowledge of the NCC, relevant Australian Standards and NSW building and planning legislation

Excellent communication and client relationship skills

The ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team

Confidence using digital systems and a current driver's licence
