Job summary

Transport for NSW – Sydney International Airport NSW is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across a broad portfolio. You will align budgets with governance requirements and strategic priorities, delivering clear, evidence-based insights for executive decisions.

With extensive Treasury knowledge and stakeholder management, you will drive financial governance, model development and reporting while fostering continuous improvement in budgeting

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning within large, complex government or public sector organisations.
• Strong understanding of Treasury and statutory processes, funding frameworks and strategic resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to influence decision making.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline; full membership of a recognised accounting body (e.g., CPA Australia, CA ANZ, ACCA).

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with governance requirements and strategic priorities.
• Provide expert financial advice on labour costing, workforce planning and savings initiatives with executive-facing insights.
• Develop and maintain financial models, budget reporting and funding submissions for strategic planning and Treasury negotiations.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to support governance and transparent reporting while driving continuous improvement.
