Job summary

BTR Excavations Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead delivery of civil infrastructure across the northern region, with SA Water works as a priority. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects; utilities experience preferred.
• Experience with water, wastewater, or sewer projects is desirable.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and multi-project prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including SA Water works.
• Develop, manage, and monitor detailed project programs, and resource plans.
• Ensure compliance with SA Water specifications, regulatory requirements, and standards.
• Coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and internal teams for efficient execution.

The Company:

The Position:

We are seeking a motivated and capable Civil Project Manager to join our growing team.

This role will see you delivering a range of civil infrastructure projects across Adelaide's northern region, with an initial focus on SA Water infrastructure works, including the Tea Tree Gully Sustainable Sewers Program.

You will be responsible for overseeing project delivery from planning through to completion, working closely with SA Water Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

This is a hands-on role offering strong career development opportunities, suited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including SA Water works

Develop, manage, and monitor detailed project programs, and resource plans

Ensure compliance with SA Water specifications, regulatory requirements, and standards

Coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution

Maintain strong working relationships with SA Water representatives, clients, and stakeholders

Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies

Prepare and present progress reports, forecasting, and project documentation

Drive a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to WHS, environmental, and quality systems

Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree Construction Management, or a related field

Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects (utilities experience highly regarded)

Experience working on water, wastewater, or sewer infrastructure projects is highly desirable

Strong understanding of SA Water or similar authority standards (advantageous)

Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project priorities

Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in project management systems and software

Solid understanding of safety, environmental, and quality management frameworks

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery deadlines

Valid Australian Driver's License
