Job summary

Primo Trading Company Limited is seeking a passionate Brunch Chef for a busy South Yarra brunch café, Melbourne. The role focuses on creating innovative brunch dishes, contributing to menu development, and maintaining high consistency in food quality.

You will uphold HACCP standards, ensure kitchen hygiene, and manage stock and waste during service periods. Flexible part-time shifts are available, with competitive hourly pay and opportunities to contribute creative ideas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a brunch café or similar kitchen environment.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification and HACCP knowledge.
• Ability to independently develop new dishes and contribute creative ideas.
• Strong understanding of modern Australian brunch cuisine.
• Excellent cooking and presentation skills.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work well in a team.
• Availability for rostered shifts between Tuesday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and create innovative brunch dishes.
• Contribute to daily specials, seasonal dishes and ongoing menu development.
• Prepare and present high-quality food with consistency and attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, HACCP compliance and kitchen hygiene.
• Manage food preparation, stock control and minimise food waste.
• Work efficiently and independently during busy service periods.
