Job summary

Joule Resources is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead a skilled civil team in Brisbane. The role combines technical leadership with project management, client engagement and team development to deliver urban development projects.

You will oversee lifecycle delivery, manage budgets and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes, while contributing to business growth and sector leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive civil engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong track record delivering land development and urban infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, client relationships and teams.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of Australian standards, design principles and approval processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in Queensland market and RPEQ registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and designers.
• Oversee projects from planning through delivery across the full lifecycle.
• Review designs for quality and compliance with standards.
• Manage project budgets, resources, programmes and deliverables.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Coordinate teams and external contractors to ensure delivery.
• Identify risks, manage variations and resolve delivery challenges.
• Support business development and portfolio growth.
