Job summary

Development Careers Pty Ltd is seeking a versatile construction professional in Brisbane to lead end-to-end development activities—from feasibility through to project completion and approvals. The role also covers upgrades and repairs across a diverse property portfolio.

You will coordinate with consultants, councils, and contractors, prepare scopes of work, set budgets and schedules, and manage safety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Strong construction background with experience in feasibilities, approvals and project delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from acquisition through completion.
• Experience coordinating consultants, councils, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Managing several smaller projects from initial planning through to completion.
• Putting together feasibilities to assess costs, returns and opportunities to add value.
• Working with consultants and councils to obtain development approvals.
• Preparing scopes of work for repairs, upgrades and construction projects.
• Setting budgets and timelines, and keeping projects on track.
• Sourcing and appointing contractors, trades and suppliers.
• Reviewing plans to ensure practicality and budget.
• Coordinating contractors and consultants, and checking the quality of their work.
• Planning capital expenditure for existing properties across the portfolio.
• Assessing newly acquired properties and planning the work required.
• Resolving issues and keeping management updated on progress and costs.
• Ensuring work is carried out safely and meets approval/building requirements.
