Job summary

Cardinia Shire Council is seeking a Bridge Maintenance team member to look after public walkways, bridges and lookout platforms. The role requires practical hands-on maintenance across asset types and the ability to operate small plant and equipment.

Training for Level 1 Safety inspections will be provided, and relevant licences or traffic management and first aid training are beneficial. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe, collaborative team environment and support the council’s

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or similar practical works with a focus on safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a small team.
• Relevant licences or training in traffic management, first aid, and construction trades are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public walkways, bridges and lookout platforms across the municipality.
• Undertake small scale repairs to wooden, steel and concrete assets and operate small plant/equipment.
• Complete Level 1 Safety inspections; training provided for this qualification.
