Job summary

Cardinia Shire Council is seeking a Bridge Maintenance team member to oversee upkeep of public walkways, bridges and lookout platforms across the municipality. You will perform small-scale repairs to wood, steel and concrete assets and may operate small plant and equipment.

The role requires practical construction experience, good communication and a strong safety mindset. Training for Level 1 Safety inspections will be provided to successful applicants along with relevant licences and first aid

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or similar practical work.
• Good communication skills and safety commitment.
• Ability to work independently or in a small team.
• Level 1 Safety inspections training is provided for successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public walkways, bridges and lookout platforms across the municipality.
• Undertake small scale repairs to wood, steel and concrete assets.
• Operate small plant and equipment as required.
• Uphold safety protocols and quality in all works.
