Job summary

Experience with mortar mixing, cutting bricks, and ensuring compliance with safety codes is essential. The role emphasizes teamwork with builders and other trades, maintaining a tidy site and using tools correctly.

Qualifications

A Bricklayer is responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks and other types of masonry materials to construct, repair and maintain walls, foundations, partitions and other structures. Duties include reading and interpreting building plans, measuring and setting out work areas, preparing mortar, cutting bricks and blocks, laying bricks to the required levels and alignment, and ensuring all work meets building codes, safety requirements and quality standards.
