Job summary

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full Time Commis Chef to join our kitchen team, primarily for the breakfast service, preparing and serving the hotel buffet and contributing to all-day dining preparations.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation, with opportunities to learn, develop culinary skills, and advance within the Accor network.

• Trade qualifications required.
• Experience with buffet breakfast service preferred.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality food while maintaining cost.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate breakfast service during shift.
• Prepare, cook and serve breakfast for the hotel buffet.
• Support Distrikt Café and all-day dining menu as needed.
• Assist with stock orders and kitchen inventory.
