Mercure Sydney Blacktown invites a motivated Full Time Commis Chef to join our breakfast-focused kitchen, delivering quality for the hotel buffet and Distrikt Cafe. You will take responsibility for breakfast service and support food preparation across all-day dining.

This role involves maintaining high standards, liaising with suppliers, helping with stock orders, keeping the kitchen clean, and assisting the General Manager as needed.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift.
• Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.
• Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet
• Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu
• Assisting with group dinners as required
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.
• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and all dishes are washed at the end of each shift
• Assisting the General Manager with food orders and stock management
• Overseeing kitchen attendant as required

Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full Time Commis Chef to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.
