Job summary

Gladstone Regional Council is seeking a Brand and Marketing Officer to manage branding, marketing strategies and promotional activities for community events and facilities in Gladstone. The role involves working with a team of designers, marketers and writers to deliver clear, consistent messaging across all channels.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in media, PR or marketing, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while building relationships

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Media, Public Relations or Marketing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced writing skills and ability to produce marketing collateral.
• Knowledge of social and digital marketing.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate systems.
• Blue Card eligibility (Working with Children).
• Queensland driver's licence or ability to obtain one.

Brand and Marketing Officer

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Brand and Marketing Officer to contribute to Council’s success.

• Be surrounded by a team of experienced graphic designers, marketers, writers, content creators and professional communicators.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to support, maintain and enhance Gladstone Regional Council’s brand, and develop and implement strategic marketing strategies for Council’s activities, initiatives, events and facilities.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated relevant experience in Media, Public Relations, Marketing or related role.
• Knowledge and proven experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced writing skills and experience producing marketing collateral.
• Working knowledge and application of social and digital marketing.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain on appointment, a positive notice Working with Children Blue Card.
• Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
