Job summary

Indie Campers in Cairns is seeking a front-line depot coordinator with a passion for customer service. You will be the face of the Cairns depot, reporting to the APAC Area Operations Manager, ensuring top customer care, keeping the fleet clean and ready, and taking ownership of key duties to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers (desirable in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car).
• Excellent communication skills and ease speaking with customers.
• Eligible to work in Australia, valid driver’s license, and comfortable driving a campervan (mandatory).
• Available to work weekends and national holidays.
• Responsible, reliable and well-organized with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs.
• Take care of the fleet, logistics, and ensure campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in Training, supervising, and coaching your team.
• Booking activities, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue to ensure smooth operations.
• Preparing and cleaning our campervans.
• Assisting in reselling campervans, preparing and showing them to prospective buyers.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for people with an outstanding customer service passion for our depot in Cairns. You’ll be the face of a role model for our company, reporting directly to the APAC Area Operations Manager, with the goal of demonstrating top customer care, maintaining the fleet of campervans in neat conditions, and showing accountability of each important instance that need to be led to ensure flawlessly functioning of the depot.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers, with experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car being desirable;
• You have great communication skills and feel comfortable speaking directly with customers;
• You’re eligible to work in Australia, have a valid driver's license and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You’re available to work weekends and national holidays;
• You’re a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon;
• You’re well-organized and you’re good at solving problems.
