Job summary

Indie Campers is seeking a depot-based service-minded professional for its Cairns team. You will be the face of our company in the Cairns depot, reporting to the APAC Area Operations Manager, delivering top customer care, maintaining campervans, and ensuring smooth operations at the depot.

You will handle reservations, check-ins/outs, fleet maintenance, and coordinate with local suppliers. This role includes coaching a small team and supporting resales to prospective buyers.

Qualifications

• Travel enthusiast with aptitude for direct customer contact.
• Experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car desirable.
• Eligible to work in Australia and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs.
• Take care of the fleet, logistics, and ensure campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in Training, supervising, and coaching your team.
• Booking activities control, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue to ensure smooth operations.
• Preparing and cleaning our campervans.
• Assisting in reselling campervans, preparing and showing them to prospective buyers.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for people with an outstanding customer service passion for our depot in Cairns. You’ll be the face of a role model for our company, reporting directly to theAPAC Area Operations Manager, with the goal of demonstrating top customer care, maintaining the fleet of campervans in neat conditions, and showing accountability of each important instance that need to be led to ensure flawlessly functioning of the depot.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You are a travel enthusiast with an aptitude for direct contact with customers, with experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car being desirable;
• You have great communication skills and feel comfortable speaking directly with customers;
• You’re eligible to work in Australia, have a valid driver's license and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
• You’re available to work weekends and national holidays;
• You’re a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon;
• You’re well-organized and you’re good at solving problems.
