Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Head of Branch Operations to own the customer experience and lead international freight forwarding and logistics across WA and beyond. You will direct day-to-day branch operations, hold department managers to account, drive revenue growth, ensure regulatory and operational compliance, and build strong networks with customers, suppliers, overseas offices and agents.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in international freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain ops.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Strong WA freight market knowledge and established networks.
• Commercial capability across business development, budgets and profit delivery.
• Demonstrated success leading people and managing change.
• Strong knowledge of international trade, customs, compliance and controls.
• Proficient using logistics, customer and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the branch customer experience and act as senior escalation point.
• Lead day-to-day branch operations and manage department heads.
• Ensure import/export, customs, transport and warehouse activities are timely and compliant.
• Protect revenue, develop new opportunities and exceed growth targets.
• Review financial, pipeline, debtor and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational risk controls.
• Maintain audit-ready records and act on audit findings.
• Lead workforce planning and succession with HR support.
• Drive use of CargoWise One, Dynamics and other company systems.
