Job summary

NQAS Powershed, Brisbane, seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead the Brisbane operation, drive profitability, grow the customer base and manage inventory and purchasing.

You will oversee a performance-driven team, nurture key customer relationships and support export sales across Asia Pacific and Africa, reporting to the Sales & Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in branch management or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of growing sales and profitability.
• Proven ability to develop new business and build long-term client relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development of teams.

NQAS Powershed is a recognised leader in the agricultural, industrial and mechanical industries across Queensland and a global market leader in sugar cane harvester spare parts.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on and commercially focused Branch Manager to lead our Brisbane operation. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for branch profitability, sales growth, customer engagement, inventory management and team performance, while also supporting our established export business across the Asia Pacific and African markets.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Sales & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the Brisbane branch, developing the customer base and driving the commercial and operational performance of the business across the territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive branch sales growth, profitability and customer satisfaction
• Establish and grow a strong customer base across the new region
• Proactively identify, target and develop new customers and business opportunities
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing branch team
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders
• Manage purchasing and inventory planning across designated product groups
• Optimise stock availability, inventory performance and gross profit
• Support product launches, marketing campaigns and promotional activities
• Manage and grow established export sales across Asia Pacific and African markets
• Monitor branch performance against key KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and Workplace Health & Safety requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in branch management, operations management, sales management or a similar leadership position
• Strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to drive sales growth and profitability
• Demonstrated success in new business development, customer acquisition and building long-term customer relationships
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop employees
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in purchasing, inventory management or wholesale distribution environments
• Experience within agricultural, industrial, machinery, automotive or related sectors
• Sound computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Current Driver's Licence
