Job summary

Tradelink Morisset in NSW is seeking a Branch Assistant to help ensure customers receive the right products on time with great service. Based at Morisset, the role is hands-on, with initial focus on supporting local deliveries and warehouse operations, learning the wider branch business.

As you gain knowledge, you'll assist customers at the counter and develop into a broader branch role, contributing to a safe, efficient warehouse and friendly service throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence required; two-tonne truck can be driven on a standard car licence.
• Experience with truck or deliveries is preferred.
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling.
• Positive, reliable attitude and willingness to learn.
• Customer service skills and ability to assist customers with product and order needs.
• Experience in plumbing supplies, wholesale or trade sales would be an advantage.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete local deliveries using a two-tonne truck (driven on a standard car licence).
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with receiving stock, stock control and general warehouse duties.
• Provide friendly customer service in the branch and at customer and supplier sites.
• Learn counter sales, product knowledge and order processing as you develop within the role.
• Support the team across general branch operations and help wherever needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and branch environment.

Our customers are at the heart of what we do, and as a Branch Assistant, you'll help make sure they receive the right products, on time and with great service. Based at our Morisset branch, this is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping busy, getting involved and being part of a team.

You'll initially spend much of your time supporting local deliveries and warehouse operations, while learning the wider branch business. As you build your knowledge and confidence, there will be opportunities to assist customers at the counter and develop into a broader all-round branch role.

Your responsibilities:

• Completing local deliveries using a two-tonne truck (which can be driven on a standard car licence), including safely loading and unloading goods
• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with receiving stock, stock control and general warehouse duties
• Providing friendly customer service in the branch and at customer and supplier sites
• Learning counter sales, product knowledge and order processing as you develop within the role
• Supporting the team across general branch operations and helping wherever needed
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and branch environment

What you'll need to succeed:

• A valid driver's licence: Essential. The role involves driving a two-tonne truck that can be operated on a standard car licence.
• Driving experience: Previous truck or delivery driving experience would be highly regarded.
• A hands-on approach: You are comfortable with physical work, manual handling and keeping active throughout the day.
• A positive, reliable attitude: You turn up, work hard, take responsibility and are keen to learn new things.
• Customer service skills: You enjoy dealing with people and are willing to learn how to support customers with their product and order needs.
• Trade or plumbing industry experience: Not essential. Experience in plumbing supplies, wholesale or trade sales would be an advantage.
• A forklift licence: Preferred, but not essential.

The role:

• Location: Morisset, NSW
• Employment: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Hours: Branch operating hours are generally 6:30am to 4:30pm, with start and finish times potentially varying within those hours
