Job summary

Our client on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage a varied client portfolio and deliver accurate, timely bookkeeping services. This client-facing role emphasises relationship building within a supportive team and a collaborative culture.

You will report into the bookkeeping team and handle end-to-end processes including payroll, reconciliations, BAS, IAS, STP and reporting. Flexible hours and a modern office environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in public practice or client-facing roles.
• Strong Xero experience and knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems.
• Solid understanding of payroll, GST, BAS and compliance obligations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Proactive and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse client base.
• Bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations.
• End-to-end payroll processing.
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, STP and TPAR reporting.
• Payroll tax preparation and reporting.
• Preparation of reports and documentation to support accountants and clients.
• Assisting with review and mentoring of junior team members.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

This is a client-facing position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, providing quality support, and working as part of a supportive bookkeeping team.

Your new role Reporting into the bookkeeping team, you will manage a varied client portfolio and be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse client base
