Job summary

Aureus Financial is looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper in Australia to manage daily transactions, reconcile accounts, and code data in Xero, contributing to a solid financial backbone.

You will prepare BAS/IAS lodgements on time, support month-end closes, help with forecasting, and provide timely cashflow insights, while owning your domain.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify every deduction and credit the business is entitled to
• Deliver weekly cashflow reports and flag issues earlyKeep records audit-proof and compliant
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Contribute to forecasting and tax planning

We’ll Measure Success By:

• Bank reconciliations completed within 24 hours
• Zero late BAS or IAS lodgements
• Less than 1% error rate on coding
• Monthly reports delivered by the 5th business day
• All eligible deductions and credits claimed

You’re Perfect For This If You:

• Have at least 2 years experience as a bookkeeper
• Have at least 2 years hands‑on experience with Xero
• Know Australian tax obligations and BAS inside out
• Obsess over accuracy and hate leaving loose ends
• Want ownership, not micromanagement
• Communicate clearly and flag issues early
