Certificate III Engineering - Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaker) Apprentice

Southern Sydney | 1st Year Apprentice | January 2027 Start

Are you looking to kick-start your career in engineering and become a qualified Boilermaker? This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of industries and engineering projects.

As a 1st Year Certificate III Engineering - Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaking) Apprentice, you’ll work across both workshop and site environments, learning from highly experienced tradespeople while developing a broad range of practical engineering and fabrication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of work, including:

• Fabrication and sheet metal work
• Welding and mechanical components
• Machine maintenance across a variety of industries
• Machine installation and relocation
• Modification and design of machinery
• Shutdown work
• Machining and optical alignments
• Rigging and pipe work
• General engineering and maintenance tasks
• Problem-solving and fault-finding
• Working safely on-site and in the workshop

No two days will necessarily be the same, giving you the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience throughout your apprenticeship.
