Job summary

Next Level Consulting Solutions is seeking experienced welders, boilermakers and metal fabricators for on-site roles in a mining region. You will fabricate and weld heavy steel, read drawings, and work with earthmoving equipment. The role demands high safety standards and timely project delivery.

The position is full-time, on-site with rostered mining hours. Base pay ranges from $35/hour with allowances, totaling $45–$65/hour depending on experience and role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time experience in a comparable position.
• Cert III in relevant trade for mining environment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for metal fabrication.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components per plans.
• Use manual or automated equipment for cutting, shaping, and bending metal.
• Perform welding tasks with Arc, MIG, Stick and Flux Core methods.
• Read welding blueprints to determine requirements.
• Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, and fitting metal components.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate methods by material.
• Conduct inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team to optimize fabrication processes.
• Maintain records of materials used and production timelines.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow welding procedures for consistent quality.
• Complete projects within set timelines and budgets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

You will be working in a mining and resource hot spot, so experience working with heavy structural steel and earthmoving equipment is a necessity. An example of your work could be welding or fabricating dump truck bodies or steel that will be used in mining infrastructure.

Experience and Requirements
