Job summary

Schlam Payload in Muswellbrook, NSW, is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder for a permanent role to build and repair heavy mining buckets and truck bodies. You will read drawings, weld, and fabricate to high standards while ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and completing safety documentation. Experience with trays/buckets is desirable; forklift/height/Confined Space tickets are advantageous.

• Experience in fabrication, repairs and maintenance.
• Experience with trays and buckets is advantageous.

Calling all skilled Boilermakers! Schlam Payload, industry-leader in the manufacturing of mining truck bodies and buckets, is on the hunt for a talented individual to join their team in the Muswellbrook. This is a permanent role, offering a competitive hourly rate. If you're a trade-qualified Boilermaker with experience in fabrication, repairs, and maintenance, especially with trays and buckets, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to take your career to new heights.

Responsibilities include:

• Fabricating, welding and assembling buckets and bodies
• Working on premium Barracuda and Hercules products built to outperform
• Interpreting technical drawings and following strict fabrication standards
• Carrying out equipment inspections and maintaining a safe workspace
• Completing all relevant safety and job documentation

About you:

• Australian recognised Trade qualified Boilermaker/ Welder
• Able to pass an in-house weld test
• Prior experience working on heavy mobile plant repair, maintenance or structural fabrication
• Solid understanding of metal fabrication tools, machinery and safe work practices
• Forklift licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (advantageous)
• Basic Rigging, Dogging, CB Bridge and Gantry Crane (advantageous)
• A strong, proactive attitude with a focus on safety and quality
